This textured acrylic painting is on a 16" x 16" gallery wrapped canvas.It is a semi-abstract with some subtle negative painting suggesting branches or stems in the background. There is somewhat of an Oriental feel to this painting, don't you think? I had a lot of fun creating the various textures on the canvas.
About Christiane Kingsley
Christiane Kingsley is a Canadian artist working in watercolor, acrylic,oil and mixed media. She started her art journey more than 30 years ago as a fibre artist ; for many years, she sold her work through major craft shows in the Ottawa,Ontario,area . About 15 years ago, she discovered the magic of watercolour and the transition to this artistic expression was most fluid and logical. Christiane retired in December 2010 after a successful career as a high school teacher and then as a director of learning programs and services in the Canadian federal Public Service. She is now a full-time painter, showing both in the Ottawa and Eastern Ontario as well as on international online galleries. She has been juried in as a permanent member of...
