Description
This is a posterized watercolor portrait of Abraham Lincoln. I used only one color, ultramarine ( although I did add a touch of black for the eyes:-) and an almost pop art approach - posterization, where the image is created by a number of different values, without any concern about color or smooth transitions.

Abe is indeed a familiar face:-) I did not know when I painted this posterized portrait that a very popular movie on Lincoln would be coming out two years later.
